SpinBot is up and running

Thanks to Rik, SpinBot is now up and running. And we were able to send him some commands from an Android terminal program, which he obeyed. Hooray!

We've got the hardware...

We've got an Android Dev Phone 1 and an Android Dev Phone 2 at our disposal, plus the resources of the lab at FAU, plus all the necessary Parallax components. Now we've just got to apply a bit of glue and...

Bluetooth Module Incoming!

The Parallax Easy Bluetooth Module has been ordered and is on the way.

Barring any unforeseen contingencies, We're going the Parallax Basic Stamp 2 route, making use of their Easy Bluetooth module. The following video shows communication with between a PC and a Boe-Bot over Bluetooth:



Using this hardware will allow us to hit the ground running so we can deliver quickly a proof of concept. There's no reason we can't extend our library later to support Arduino later.
